HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY!!

Midwest - Low pressure will move across the Great Lakes on Thanksgiving Day. This storm system will be enough produce rain showers over parts Lower Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. Rain will become mixed with or change to snow farther west in Illinois and Wisconsin. On the back side of this system, a strong pressure gradient will induce gusty winds over the western Great Lakes and Mississippi Valley. Elsewhere, quiet conditions will exist from near the Mississippi River westward to the Plains.

Northeast - The Northeast will be sandwiched between a developing offshore low and a system over the Great Lakes on Thanksgiving. Showers may creep into the interior from western New York southward to West Virginia, but overall the region will be inactive.

West - Low pressure will swing into the Northwest along a cold front Thursday into Friday. Rain and mountain snow will develop over Washington and Oregon before spreading southward into Northern California Thursday night. Snow levels in the Washington Cascades will fall to 5,500 feet Thursday night. Breezy conditions will impact the mountains, canyons and passes of Southern California.

South - Mostly sunny skies will rule much of the South on Thanksgiving Day. The only exception will be the possibility of some showers lingering in South Florida early in the day.
