Continental Airlines to Increase Flights, Seats at Augusta Regional for Masters Golf Tournament

Airline to add flights to cities previously unserved from Augusta Regional

HOUSTON, Feb. 2, 2004 Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL) today announced it will increase service at Augusta Regional Airport for the Masters Golf Tournament, with new nonstop flights between Augusta, Ga. and the airlines hub at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and between Augusta and LaGuardia Airport in New York.

In addition, the airline will offer increased service between Augusta and its Houston and New York/Newark hubs.

The additional service represents a 70 percent increase in Continental flights at Augusta and a 96 percent increase in available seats versus the same period in 2003.

Cleveland-Augusta

Continental will offer one daily nonstop regional jet flight each way between Cleveland and Augusta April 6-12.

New York/LaGuardia-Augusta

The airline will offer once-daily regional jet service each way April 6-10 and April 12.

New York/Newark Liberty-Augusta

From April 6-10, Continental Airlines will offer two daily regional jet flights and one daily Boeing 737 flight each way. On April 11, the airline will offer one regional jet and one 737 flight each way. On April 12, Continental will offer one regional jet and three Boeing 737 flights each way.

Houston-Augusta

From April 6-11, Continental will offer three regional jet flights each way between Houston and Augusta. On April 12, Continental will offer two regional jet flights and one Boeing 737 flight between the two cities.

"More flights and more connections linking Augusta to more cities will make getting to the Masters more convenient, said a Continental spokesperson. While we still face challenges that result from our relatively small share of Augustas corporate travel, its our hope that the increased visibility brought by the Masters, our lower flexible fares for business travelers and our convenient access to New York and the western United States will encourage more business travelers in the CSRA to give Continental and our award-winning service a try.
