Contact the OnePass Service Center to request a name change to your OnePass account. Please note that in order to process some requests, additional documentation will be required (marriage license, court order, etc). Do not include your PIN code in an e-mail.
Simple Name Changes/Corrections
Your PIN is not required for some name changes and corrections. These changes may be completed by contacting the OnePass Customer Service.
Some examples of name corrections/changes are:
- Minor spelling errors or typographical errors, such as: Brian/Brain, Michael/Micheal, Marc/Mark
- Common nicknames, such as Bill/William, Bob/Robert, Terry/Teresa
- Adding or changing a title from Miss to Ms. or Mrs. or Mr. to Dr. or Mstr. to Mr.
- Remove a hyphen: Lisa Garcia-Gonzalez to Lisa Gonzalez
- Change middle name to an initial: John Richard Ennis to John R. Ennis
- Reverse names: McCormack Charles to Charles McCormack
Significant Name Changes
The following name change requests must be in writing and require legal documentation:
- Add a first name to an account that only has a middle name: David Johnson to Francis D. Johnson or Francis David Johnson
- Change a middle initial/name: Melissa G Thomas to Melissa R Thomas, Tina Ann Stitch to Tina Marie Stitch
- Add a hyphenated name: Mary Richards to Mary Richards-Grant
- Remove the married name from a hyphenated name
- Add or removing a suffix from a name: Thomas Marshall, Jr. to Thomas Marshall
- Change of last name due to marriage, divorce, legal name change
- Name change requests for nicknames or names for which you are unable to provide legal documents for substantiation*
- If government-issued identification does not show both names.*
*A Name Affidavit stating the change of name and government-issued identification is required.

 Documents may require the Adobe Acrobat reader, available for free from Adobe for Windows, Macintosh, UNIX and other platforms.
Continental Airlines/ OnePass reserves the right at its discretion to require written legal documentation for any name change request received (including: marital status, military titles, titles and suffixes, nicknames, hyphenated names to any of its variations, inverted name changes, misspelled names, etc).
The following information is required to change a name by phone or e-mail to OnePass Service Center
- Your name as it appears on your OnePass account
- OnePass account number
- Reason for name change
- Name you would like to appear on the account
- Date of birth and gender
