NEW YORK, Nov. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL) today announced it will increase frequency of nonstop service between its New York hub at Newark Liberty International and Hong Kong from four flights a week to fives flights a week, effective December 8, 2003. With solid booking levels recorded in the third quarter of 2003, Continental anticipates demand will continue to increase into the fourth quarter and during the holiday Christmas season. Thus, Continental Airlines will also increase frequency to six flights a week during the peak Christmas period.
Continental is currently operating a 283-seat Boeing 777-200 on the route providing a world-class flying experience for its passengers with the award winning BusinessFirst seat -- one of the widest business class seats in the industry and a range of exclusive benefits including concierge service and generous mileage bonuses.
"Continental is the only airline offering nonstop service from New York to Hong Kong, saving at least four hours of flying and stopover time. Strong demand from business and leisure travelers from both cities has enabled us to increase our weekly schedule," said a Continental Airlines spokesperson.
