Continental Airlines Offers Savings on BusinessFirst and First Class Tickets; Continental.com Has Lowest Fare Guarantee

HOUSTON, April 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Planning a super summer vacation just got easier with Continental's new low fares for BusinessFirst travel to Europe and for first class flights from its U.S. hubs to select U.S. destinations.

With a low fare guarantee from continental.com, travelers can be sure they are getting the best possible price from the airline's web site. Travelers who find a fare for the same flight, itinerary and cabin that's more than $10 lower than the continental.com price will receive the price difference plus a $100 Electronic Travel Certificate.

Travel to Europe in the award-winning BusinessFirst cabin

The fares to Europe are valid from many U.S. originating cities. From New York/Newark Liberty International Airport, the sale fare is $708 each way to any Continental destination in Europe. From Houston and Cleveland, the sale fare is $808 each way to any Continental destination in Europe. Examples of Europe fares from other U.S. cities are $908 each way from Phoenix, Portland, Ore., San Diego or Tucson; $808 each way from Austin, Milwaukee, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, San Antonio or Tulsa; and $708 each way from Rochester and Syracuse. Round-trip purchase is required.

Continental's Europe destinations included in the sale are: Amsterdam, Birmingham, Brussels, Dublin, Edinburgh, Frankfurt, Geneva, Glasgow, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Manchester, Milan, Oslo, Paris, Shannon, Rome and Zurich.

Europe travel is valid July 1 to Sept. 9 with departures from the U.S. any day but Saturday. See additional "Europe Restrictions" below.

Travel in the U.S. in the First Class cabin

Domestic first class seats are on sale for just $479 each way, round-trip purchase required, from Continental's New York, Houston and Cleveland hubs to many U.S. destinations. Domestic First Class travel is valid April 6 through Aug. 29. See "U.S. Restrictions" below.

How to Book

Fares can be booked on continental.com with the Low Fare Guarantee. This web fare sale is also available via Continental's preferred distribution partners including Orbitz, and through Galileo and Sabre subscribers.

Lowest Fare Guarantee:

If you find a fare online that is more than $10 cheaper than the lowest continental.com fare, Continental will pay you the difference and pay you $100 to use towards your next Continental flight. Tickets purchased must be United States point-of-sale and purchased at continental.com with a credit card that has a U.S. billing address.

This offer only applies on itineraries wholly operated by Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL), Continental Express, or Continental Connection. Corporate, military, wholesaler, consolidator and opaque fares are not eligible. Claims must be made by midnight CT the same day or within 4 hours if the ticket is purchased after 8 p.m. CT. The sole and exclusive remedy for Continental's failure to provide the lowest online fare is receipt of the fare difference and $100 travel certificate. Europe Restrictions: Last ticket date is May 31, 2004. Saturday night stay required. Travel must originate in the U.S. and be completed by September 9, 2004. Fares are valid for travel on Continental and Continental Express. Discounted fares do not apply to codeshare flights, except within the U.S., where codeshare flights are permitted. Tickets are nontransferable and nonrefundable. Stopovers are not permitted. Fares may not be available on all flights or in all markets.

Taxes/Fees: Fares do not include the September 11th Security Fee of up to $10, Passenger Facility Charges of up to $18, depending upon routing, and additional international taxes and fees up to $108 for travel to Europe. Changes to ticket can be made for a $300 change fee, if meeting the restrictions plus applicable fare difference. All changes must be made prior to departure or the ticket has no value. An additional $50 fee will be charged for paper tickets issued by Continental.

U.S. Restrictions:

Fares are available for travel to select US destinations. Ticket by April 16, 2004. Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights or in all markets. Tickets must be purchased at time of reservation and are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Changes to ticket can be made for a $100 change fee, if meeting the restrictions plus applicable fare difference. Special fares do not apply to codeshare flights. Taxes/Fees: Domestic fares do not include a federal excise tax of up to $3.10 per flight segment of your itinerary. A flight segment is defined as a takeoff and a landing. Fares do not include Passenger Facility Charges of up to $18 per roundtrip or the September 11 Security Fee of up to $10 per roundtrip depending upon routing. An additional $50 fee will be charged for paper tickets issued by Continental. Fares are subject to change without notice. Other restrictions may apply.
