Continental has partnered with Access America to provide you with Rewards Trip Protector. This affordable insurance program offers protection on Trip Cancellation/Interruption coverage for non-refundable airline ticket, hotel reservation and rental car reservation costs, or any combination thereof-- up to $300 for cancellation and $1,500 for interruption depending on the cost of your purchase. In addition, it provides coverage for emergency medical and dental, emergency medical transportation, travel delay, and concierge services. Rewards Trip Protector does not offer coverage for cancellation due to a personal change of plans or pre-existing conditions. Product may not be available in all jurisdictions.

Please note that changes to your travel plans may require changes to your coverage. If your plans change, please contact Access America at 800.496.6821 to ensure your coverage is still valid.

Satisfaction Guarantee

Within 10 days of purchasing the program, Access America will process a full refund of premium to you, as long as you have not already departed on your trip or filed a claim. No refunds shall be paid to you after 10 days of purchasing the program.

Travel Protection

This is a brief description of the insurance protection and services provided in this program. This program contains a Pre-existing Condition Exclusion and General Program Exclusions. Other conditions, limitations and exclusions apply. A complete description of the benefits, conditions, limitations and exclusions, will be emailed to you upon completion of the purchase process with Continental. You may also view the Certificate of Insurance/Policy by going to http://www.accessamerica.com/TC/continental/1212.aspx. Be sure to call Access America at 800.496.6821 if, after purchasing this insurance, you do not receive the Certificate of Insurance/Policy that contains this vital information. Terms and conditions may vary according to your state of residence.

  1. Trip Cancellation/Interruption**: Coverage provides financial protection for expenses related to trip cancellation or trip interruption caused by a covered reason. Trip Cancellation coverage provides reimbursement for prepaid, non-refundable expenses, up to the amount of coverage purchased. Trip Interruption coverage offers reimbursement for the unused, non-refundable portion of your trip and increased transportation costs for you to return home due to a covered reason. Some covered reasons are listed below:
    • Serious and unforeseen illness, injury or death of you, a covered family member or traveling companions.
    • Natural disasters or bad weather that result in the complete cessation of services by an airline, tour operator or cruise line for at least 24 consecutive hours.
    • Employer termination if you have been with the same employer for at least three continuous years, and are terminated through no fault of your own after the effective date of this insurance.
    • Fire, flood, burglary, vandalism or natural disasters making your home uninhabitable.
  2. Emergency Medical & Dental**: Coverage provides benefits for emergency medical or dental expenses you incur during the coverage period. Services must be provided by a licensed provider and must take place during your trip. A $50 deductible applies to outpatient care.
  3. Emergency Medical Transportation: Pays for emergency medical transportation services, authorized in advance and organized by the Access America Hotline Center, and medically required as a result of an injury or illness which occurs during the coverage period, to have you moved to the nearest appropriate facility. Once you are able, we will also pay up to $5,000 to have you returned home.
  4. Travel Delay**: Offers reimbursement to cover additional accommodation and travel expenses due to a delay of at least 6 hours. Covered reasons for travel delay include carrier caused delays (including bad weather) and unannounced strikes. Payments may not exceed $150 per day.
  5. Concierge Service: Provides you with information about your destination before or during your trip and can help you select restaurants, reserve golf tee times or secure tickets to local events.
  6. 24-Hour Hotline Help: Help is just a phone call away with Access America travel protection. A staff of multi-lingual problem solvers is available to help you gain access to local resources and information you need to solve a medical, legal or travel-related emergency.

Existing Medical Conditions Exclusion

Coverage for an Existing Medical Condition is excluded. An Existing Medical Condition is an illness or injury that exhibited symptoms or was treated for any time 120 days prior to purchasing your plan.
