Northwest Airlines

Northwest Airlines (www.nwa.com) began passenger service in 1927. Today, it is the United States' 4th largest airline and flies over 55 million passenger annually. With hubs in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Detroit, Memphis, and Tokyo, Northwest offers over 2,800 daily flights to 226 destinations worldwide.

Continental and Northwest have formed an extensive alliance relationship which includes codesharing on most domestic and select international routes. In the U.S., Northwest and Northwest Airlink (operated by Mesaba Airlines and Express I Airlines) offer Continental customers expanded access to unique cities throughout the Midwest, West, and Deep South. Internationally, from Northwest's hub in Tokyo-Narita, customers can make connections to exotic cities such as Bangkok, Thailand, Singapore, and Seoul, South Korea. Together, Continental and Northwest offer connecting service via most U.S. cities to provide you with increased schedule options that best fit your needs.

Additionally, Continental and Northwest have developed the world's largest eTicketing network available. Customers can purchase an electronic ticket valid for travel on both carriers.

Northwest is also a member of the SkyTeam™ alliance offering flight options, frequent flyer benefits and airport lounge benefits beyond the scope of the current Continental/Northwest/KLM Royal Dutch Airlines alliance. Agreements and benefits already in place between Continental, Northwest and KLM will not be impacted by SkyTeam membership.
