Korean Air

In 1969, state operated National Korean Airlines was purchased by the Hanjin Group. Now known as Korean Air, the airline operates, from its brand-new hub in Incheon, nearly 400 daily flights to 115 cities in 37 countries and is considered to be among the top 20 airlines in the world.

Continental and Korean Air codeshare on select routes to and from Seoul. Korean Air is also a founding member of the SkyTeam Alliance.

Frequent Flyer Benefits

Continental Airlines OnePass members may accrue and redeem miles on Korean Air flights system-wide. Fare class bonuses of 50% will be earned for travel in Premium First, First and Prestige (Business) Class. Miles and points accrued on qualifying fares and Korean Air flights count toward Elite status.

Airport Lounge Benefits

Continental's First/Business/BusinessFirst customers on international routes have access, on the same day of travel, to any SkyTeam carrier's lounge. In addition, SkyTeam Elite Plus members traveling on a same day international itinerary in Economy Class on Continental or any SkyTeam carrier, have access to any SkyTeam carrier's lounge (including one guest). Applicable Korean Air Lounges: KAL Prestige Class Lounges and KAL First Class Lounges (only for First Class).

Services

Korean Air offers new Kosmo sleeper seats in its premium first class service between Seoul and select U.S. destinations. These seats recline a full 180 degrees, spanning almost two feet in width.

Korean Air inflight service is revered throughout the world. Approximately 3,000 flight attendants speaking more than ten languages make passengers feel at home no matter where they are in the world. Korean Air's catering service is also outstanding, recently honored for its food service winning the coveted Mercury Award from the International Flight Catering Association.
