Continental Airlines Offers Direct Bookings for continental.com Specials
HOUSTON, September 24, 1998 -- Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAI.A and CAI.B) today announced that customers who subscribe to its domestic continental.com Specials located on the Web at http://www.flycontinental.com/cool/ can now quickly and securely book their travel online without having to call Continental reservations.
continental.com Specials is a free email subscription service that Continental sends out on a weekly basis that notifies customers of discount fares on domestic weekend travel.
"This is a great addition to our first-class website, and it gives travelers a valuable booking tool to make last-minute travel plans," said Steve Cossette, Continental Airlines staff vice president - distribution planning. "We've also built in a new pricing structure that allows our customers to enjoy a $20 rate reduction, per ticket, when E-Ticketing CO.O.L. Travel Specials online."
Customers without access to the Internet can still purchase CO.O.L. Travel Specials by calling Continental Airlines reservations at 1-800-642-1617.
