Teamsters and Continental Reach Tentative Agreement
HOUSTON, October 12, 1998 -- The International Brotherhood of Teamsters and Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAI.A and CAI.B) today announced that a tentative agreement has been reached covering Continental's 2,900 mechanics. Terms of the four-year agreement improve wages and work rules for all employees in Continental's technical operations area.
Specifics will be communicated to employees through the ratification process, which will take place over the next several weeks. The Teamsters and Continental do not anticipate making further public comment during the ratification process.
