Continental Airlines Inaugurates Daily Non-Stop Service Between New York/Newark and Japan
NEW YORK/NEWARK, November 30, 1998 -- Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAI.B and CAI.A) today inaugurated its first ever flight between New York/Newark and Tokyo, Japan. Flight 9, which will fly daily to Tokyo's Narita International Airport, is operated with Continental's new state-of-the-art Boeing 777-200. Continental is the only airline to provide daily non-stop service to Japan from a hub in the Northeast.
The new daily Tokyo service offers convenient connections to points throughout the East as well as Latin America.
Continental will begin daily non-stop service between Houston and Tokyo on Jan. 31, 1999.
