Continental Airlines Expands Service Between Boston and Cleveland
HOUSTON, July 16, 1999 -- Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL and CAL.A) announced today it is expanding its service to Boston from its hub in Cleveland into a high-frequency shuttle service.
The new flights will appeal to business travelers who demand frequent flight availability.
"Our expansion in Cleveland is increasing connectivity at the hub, which in turn drives the need for more flights like these additional trips to Boston," said Glen Hauenstein, Continental's vice president of Scheduling. "We are building this route to serve the steady supply of business travelers as well as vacationers, and we can add even more flights as warranted by demand."
Starting in September, Continental will boost service between Boston and Cleveland from five to eight flights.
