Continental Announces Fare Discounts Through Internet

HOUSTON, Texas, August 3, 1999 -- Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL and CAL.A) today announced competitive fares on domestic economy class tickets purchased through the Continental web site (http://www.continental.com).

Tickets must be purchased on line by Aug. 6 with a 3-day advance purchase to receive up to a 10 percent discount. Travel must be within the 48 contiguous states.

Continental Airlines is the fifth largest airline in the U.S., offering more than 2,200 departures daily to 130 domestic and 85 international destinations.
