Continental Express Introduces New Service Between New York's JFK and Cleveland
NEW YORK, August 9, 1999 -- Continental Express, the regional airline subsidiary of Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL and CAL.A), today announced new service twice daily from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport to its hub at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport effective Oct. 31.
The new service to Cleveland will provide passengers with convenient connections to cities in the Midwest including Chicago and Detroit, and other points in the West.
Continental Express will provide service from New York’s JFK to its Cleveland hub twice daily using the new 50-passenger regional jet, Embraer ERJ-145 known as the ExpressJet. The flights from New York will depart at 6:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. and will arrive in Cleveland at 8:20 a.m. and 6:35 p.m. The departures from Cleveland will be at 2:30 p.m. and 8:55 p.m. and will arrive at New York’s JFK at 4:15 p.m. and 10:40 p.m.
Continental Express anticipates adding additional service between John F. Kennedy International Airport and Cleveland next year.
