Continental Express Begins New Service Between Dayton and Houston
DAYTON, Ohio, September 8, 1999 -- Continental Express, the regional airline subsidiary of Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL and CAL.A), will begin new nonstop service from Dayton International Airport to Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport tomorrow, Sept. 9.
The new service to Houston provides passengers with convenient connections to cities in the West as well as Latin America.
Continental Express will provide service from Dayton to its Houston hub once daily using the 50-passenger Embraer ERJ-145 regional jet, known as the ExpressJet. The flight from Dayton departs at 5:45 p.m. and arrives in Houston at 7:30 p.m. The flight from Houston departs at 1:10 p.m. and arrives in Dayton at 4:50 p.m.
In addition to this new nonstop service to Houston, Continental Express serves Dayton from its Cleveland and Newark hubs.
