Continental Express Begins New Service Between New York's JFK and Cleveland

NEW YORK, October 28, 1999 -- Continental Express, the regional airline subsidiary of Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL and CAL.A), will begin new service twice daily from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport to its hub at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport on Sunday, Oct. 31.

The new service to Cleveland provides passengers with convenient connections to cities in the Midwest, including Chicago and Detroit, and other points in the West.

Using the new 50-passenger regional jet, Embraer ERJ-145 known as the ExpressJet, Continental Express is offering two daily flights. The flights from New York’s JFK Airport will depart at 6:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. and will arrive in Cleveland at 8:20 a.m. and 6:35 p.m. The departures from Cleveland will be at 2:30 p.m. and 8:55 p.m. and will arrive at New York’s JFK at 4:15 p.m. and 10:40 p.m.

Continental Express anticipates adding additional service between John F. Kennedy International Airport and Cleveland next year.
