Continental Express Announces New Service Between Savannah, GA and Houston

SAVANNAH, Ga., November 2, 1999 -- Continental Express, the regional airline subsidiary of Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL and CAL.A), today announced new service from Savannah International Airport to its hub at Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport effective Jan. 6, 2000.

The new service to Houston provides passengers with convenient connections to cities in the West as well as Latin America.

Using the Embraer ERJ-145, Continental Express will offer one daily flight departing from Savannah at 5:45 p.m. and arriving in Houston at 7:15 p.m. The departure from Houston will be at 1:30 p.m. and will arrive in Savannah at 4:45 p.m. A second flight will be added on April 2, and will depart from Savannah at 7:05 a.m. and arrive in Houston at 8:30 a.m. The flight from Houston will depart at 6:50 p.m. and will arrive in Savannah at 10:05 p.m.

Continental Express also will offer weekend service between Savannah and Cleveland in the spring of 2000. With the addition of this new service to Houston and Cleveland, Continental Express will serve Savannah from each of its hubs. It already serves Savannah from its hub in Newark with two daily flights. A third flight between Savannah and Newark will be added on March 2.
