Continental Express Announces New Service Between Houston and San Luis Potosi, Mexico
HOUSTON, December 13, 1999 -- Continental Express, the regional airline subsidiary of Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL and CAL.A), today announced new nonstop service from its hub at Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport to San Luis Potosi, Mexico, effective March 2, 2000, subject to government approval.
With the addition of San Luis Potosi, Continental and Continental Express will serve 18 destinations in Mexico, more than any other U.S. carrier.
Continental Express will operate the 50-seat Embraer ERJ-145 regional jet, known as the ExpressJet, on the daily, nonstop flight. The flight departs Houston at 1:10 p.m., arriving in San Luis Potosi at 3:10 p.m. The return flight will depart from San Luis Potosi at 3:40 p.m., arriving in Houston at 5:30 p.m.
The Embraer ERJ-145 offers amenities such as jet-bridge loading, a fully equipped galley, spacious lavatory, leather-covered seats and carry-on luggage storage.
