Continental Airlines Announces Interim Venezuela Flight Schedule
HOUSTON, December 31, 1999 -- Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL and CAL.A) is operating reduced service to Caracas as it works toward resuming normal flights by mid-January. Regular flight schedules have been interrupted due to operational constraints imposed by the devastating floods.
Flights will leave New York/Newark for Caracas at 12:30 a.m. on Jan. 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10. Flights will depart Houston for Caracas at 11:40 p.m. on Jan. 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10. The telephone number to make international reservations in the U.S. is (800) 231-0856.
Since the floods struck, Continental has provided six flights to Caracas from Houston.
Continental's regular service consists of a daily flight to Caracas from both U.S. hubs. The airline hopes it can reinstitute the regular schedule during January.
