Continental Airlines Launches Non-Stop Service between Guam and Seoul, South Korea

Serves more international cities than any other U.S. carrier

TAMUNING, GUAM, May 18, 2000 -- Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL and CAL.A) today announced that its Micronesia division will launch non-stop service twice-a-week between Guam and Seoul, South Korea, starting July 16. The 4-1/2 hour flight will be operated by a 155-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft on Thursdays and Sundays.

Flight 927 will depart Guam at 5:25 p.m., arriving in Seoul of 9:05 p.m. The return flight will depart Seoul at 9:55 p.m., arriving in Guam at 3:05 a.m. the next day.

"We’re excited about adding Seoul to our growing international route map, which already spans the globe," said a Continental spokesperson. "In addition to the positive economic impact this will have in the marketplace, it will make it a lot more convenient for Korean travelers to vacation in Micronesia."

Based on Guam, Continental’s Micronesia division serves eight cities in Japan, as well as Taipei, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Manila, Philippines, Bali, Indonesia, Cairns, Australia, the Micronesia Islands, and Hawaii.
