Continental Adds Second Daily Tel Aviv Flight
NEW YORK, June 19, 2000 -- Due to increased demand, Continental Airlines, (NYSE: CAL and CAL.A) will add a second daily non-stop flight to Tel Aviv, Israel from its New York hub, starting June 20.
Continental inaugurated service to Israel on Aug. 1, 1999 with a 283-seat Boeing 777 aircraft, and will provide the second daily non-stop service with a Boeing 777 as well.
Continental’s twice-daily service to Tel Aviv departs Newark International Airport at 5:25 p.m. and 11:35 p.m., arriving in Tel Aviv at 11:00 a.m. (the next day) and 5:10 p.m. (the next day). Service to Newark departs Tel Aviv at 1:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., arriving at 6:10 p.m. (the same day) and 4:30 a.m. (the next day).

Flying time from Newark to Tel Aviv is approximately 10-1/2 hours, and 12 hours on the return.
