Continental Express Flight Attendants Ratify New 54-Month Labor Contract
HOUSTON, June 22, 2000 -- Continental Express, the regional airline subsidiary of Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL and CAL.A), announced today that it has been informed by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers that Continental Express’ 600 flight attendants have ratified a new four and a half year labor contract. The contract comes after eight months of negotiations with the I.A.M. Typically, labor contracts in the airline industry take much longer, even years, to negotiate. The agreement will be effective July 1, 2000.

The contract contains major changes, including significant improvements in pay, holiday pay, profit sharing and 401K accounts, reserve scheduling and domestic partner benefits as well as the computerization and automation of scheduling.
