Continental Express Aircraft Dispatchers Ratify New 48-Month Labor Contract

HOUSTON, July 7, 2000 -- Continental Express, the regional airline subsidiary of Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL and CAL.A), announced today that it has been informed by the Transport Workers Union that Continental Express’ Dispatchers have ratified a new four year labor contract. The contract comes after only seven months of negotiations with the Transport Workers Union. The agreement is effective today.

"This contract once again demonstrates the benefits of ‘Working Together’," said Jon Weaver, senior director of System Control for Continental Express. "It also provides our Dispatchers a well deserved recognition for their role in the growth of Continental Express."

The contract contains major changes, including significant improvements in pay and benefits.

Continental Express serves more than 8.5 million customers annually. As a regional air carrier to Continental Airlines, Express offers more than 1000 daily departures to more than 105 cities from its hubs in Cleveland, Houston and New York. Continental Express offers advance seat assignments and OnePass frequent flyer miles, which can be redeemed anywhere in the world Continental and its partner airlines fly.
