Continental Airlines Provides Extra Seats from Belize City in Wake of Hurricane Keith
BELIZE CITY, Oct. 4, 2000 -- Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL and CAL.A) will operate a DC-10 aircraft on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, between Houston and Belize City, offering an additional 118 seats each way to customers affected by Hurricane Keith.
The carrier normally operates the route using a Boeing 737-300, equipped with 12 first class seats and 112 economy seats. The DC-10 seats 38 in BusinessFirst and 204 in economy.
Flight 1233 departs Houston at 12:02 p.m., arriving in Belize City at 1:28 p.m. Return flight 1234 departs Belize City at 2:19 p.m., arriving in Houston at 5:49 p.m.
In addition to the DC-10 aircraft, Continental today substituted a Boeing 737-800 on the route, offering 31 additional seats each way.
