Continental Airlines to Add Seasonal Service Between New York and Anchorage, Alaska

NEW YORK, Oct. 12, 2000 -- Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL and CAL.A) today announced the addition of seasonal daily service between Newark International Airport and Anchorage International Airport in Alaska.

Beginning June 14, 2001, a daily flight will operate between Newark and Anchorage with a 183-seat Boeing 757. This flight departs Newark at 3:45 p.m. and arrives in Anchorage at 7:25 p.m. The return flight will leave Anchorage at 8:40 p.m., and arrive in Newark at 7:20 a.m. This flight will be the only non-stop service offered between the New York-area and Anchorage. Continental also provides seasonal daily non-stop service between Anchorage and its Houston hub.
