Continental Express Announces New Service Between Durango, Colo., and Houston

HOUSTON, Aug. 27, 2001 -- Continental Express, the regional air carrier to Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL - news), today announced new daily nonstop service between Durango, Colo., and its Houston hub, effective Dec. 13, 2001.

Continental Express will operate the service using the fast, quiet, 50-passenger Embraer ERJ-145 ExpressJet.

"This service will finally connect the energy producing region of northwest New Mexico and southwest Colorado to the energy capital of the United States, Houston," said Senior Director of System Operations for Continental Express Jon Weaver. "From our Houston hub, customers from Durango will be able to make convenient connections throughout the East Coast, from Boston to Miami, as well as to Mexico and Central and South America."

The daily flight will depart Durango at 11:40 a.m., arriving in Houston at 2:59 p.m. The return flight departs Houston at 9:20 a.m. and arrives in Durango at 11:06 a.m.
