Continental Airlines Statement
HOUSTON, Sept. 11, 2001 -- All Continental Airlines aircraft have been accounted for and are safe. The U.S. government has asked all carriers to land airplanes at the nearest airports. In addition, no international flights are being allowed into U.S. air space. Aircraft en route to the U.S. from international locations are being diverted. Information regarding the tragic events is still developing. Continental and Continental Express have suspended all flights until tomorrow morning.
Continental’s sympathies go out to all those affected by the tragedies in New York and Washington, D.C.
