Continental Airlines Statement on Customer Reaccommodations

HOUSTON, Sept. 11, 2001 -- Continental Airlines has announced all Continental and Continental Express flights have been suspended until tomorrow afternoon, in light of today’s tragedies in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania. Subject to the lifting of federal restrictions on air travel, Continental and Continental Express will operate a partial flight schedule. For those passengers whose itineraries have been affected, Continental has waived change fees for customers who were scheduled to travel between Sept. 11 and Sept. 17. Customers may extend their outbound and inbound travel period by up to one year from the date of ticket issuance, without penalty or change fees.

In addition, customers holding non-refundable tickets who were scheduled to travel Sept. 11 and Sept. 12 may also request a refund in the original form of payment.

"We at Continental extend our deepest sympathies to all who were touched by today’s tragedies," said Continental Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Gordon Bethune.

Ticketed passengers needing specific information may contact Continental Airlines Reservations at (800) 525-0280.
