Continental Airlines Speeds Passenger Movement at Cleveland Hopkins Concourse C
Additional checkpoint positions to expedite movement through terminal
HOUSTON, October 19, 2001 -- Continental Airlines today announced two additional positions will be added tomorrow, Oct. 20, to the passenger security checkpoint at Concourse C at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, expediting passenger movement from the ticket counter to the gate.
With the addition, the checkpoint will have five positions with X-ray machines, representing a 67 percent increase in passenger and carry-on baggage screening capacity.
"Nothing is more important to the men and women of Continental Airlines than the safe and efficient transportation of our customers," said a Continental Airlines spokesperson. "In light of the more stringent security measures added in recent weeks, Continental and the city of Cleveland have been working hard to make the new security checkpoint process even more efficient."
Continental advises passengers departing Hopkins to check in at least one hour ahead of time for most flights, two hours ahead of time for morning, evening and some weekend departures. More information can be found at continental.com or from Continental Airlines Reservations at (800) 525-0280.
