General Reward Terms
You may request a OnePass reward for use by any person you designate. Simply provide that person's name at the time reward reservations are made.
Rewards are valid for roundtrip or one-way (as specified) travel between two cities served by the carrier designated, using the most direct route as defined by the reward you redeem.
Reward travel (the last flight) is subject to service charges. Please inquire when making your Economy class reservations.
You must have confirmed reward reservations and be ticketed before you can begin reward travel.
Rewards are sent to the primary address on file for your account at the time you make your request. View and/or change your primary Continental address in My Account.
Continental Airlines requires positive personal identification for reward travel. Present your ID at departure and when requested during your reward travel.
Capacity Controls
SaverPass Rewards, EasyPass Rewards* and Upgrade Rewards are subject to capacity-controls determined and adjusted at Continental's sole discretion. Capacity-controlled seats are limited and may not be available on all flights. It will be more difficult to reserve a capacity-controlled seat at peak times of the year and/or to popular destinations. The actual number of capacity-controlled seats available can vary from flight to flight, or over time on a particular flight. If seats in the special fare class designated for capacity-controlled seats are not available, you may request an alternate flight or date.
* Excluding OnePass Elite members.
Restricted Travel Dates
Reward travel is not permitted on restricted travel dates. Restricted travel dates are displayed on all online Travel Reward Charts. Continental Airlines does not impose Restricted Travel Dates, however, other OnePass airline partners may have Restricted Travel Dates for reward travel.
Changing Rewards
Reward flight tickets may be changed for a different date and/or destination (covered by the reward mileage redeemed and within the same travel area), except if the fare is purchased using an upgrade reward. Your changed tickets still will be subject to the original reward expiration date. A change fee applies.
You can change or cancel your reward travel plans by calling the same Reward Desk from which you originally requested your reward. A fee will apply to reward tickets for the following changes: travel dates, travel times, origin or destination.
| Travel Reward Redeposit and Change Fees* |
| Fee Per Transaction |
| OnePass Members - $150 |
Platinum Elites - $0 |
* Delivery fees, which are not included, may apply.
The mileage for cancelled reward travel will be re-deposited in your account for a service charge per transaction (payable by credit card only). International Airline Partner reward cancellations or changes must be made through the Airline Partner Reward Desk at least 10 business days before reward travel begins.
Re-depositing Rewards
OnePass rewards requiring mileage deduction from your account may be re-deposited to your account only. All tickets and certificates included in the reward must be returned to the OnePass Service Center, unused, prior to their expiration dates.
Members holding an eTicket reward can call the Continental Reward Desk to have their miles re-deposited. Members holding a non-eTicket reward, may write the Continental Reward Desk and include the applicable service fee (payable by credit card only) per reward for re-processing. Find contact information for re-depositing rewards on the OnePass Contact Information page.
A fee will apply to have your miles re-deposited.

Transferring Rewards
Once an airline ticket is issued, the passenger name on the ticket may not be changed, and the ticket may not be used by anyone else. A name change requires that you re-deposit the reward for a service fee (payable by credit card only) and request a new reward in the appropriate name.
Reward certificates may be issued to anyone you designate. A certificate in your name can be transferred to a person with the same surname, maiden name or home address. (Transfer to a different surname requires positive identification and proof of relationship/address.)
A certificate issued in a name other than yours may be transferred back to you only and can be transferred only by a Continental Airlines ticket agent at the time the ticket is issued. Any other name changes require that you re-deposit the reward for a service fee (payable by credit card only) and request a new reward in the appropriate name.
Combining Rewards
Rewards may not be combined or used with any other air travel certificate, discount coupon, premium offer or specific promotional fares. Two OnePass rewards from the same reward series may be combined to provide alternative reward travel.
Refunds
OnePass reward tickets have no cash value except for applicable taxes, fees and surcharges. Upgrade rewards are refundable to the original form of payment only for the amount paid (including applicable penalties), unless a refund is prohibited by the fare purchased. Service fees are not refundable.
Reward Expiration Dates
OnePass reward certificates and reward tickets are valid for one year from the date of issue. Upgrade reward tickets involving a fare with an earlier expiration date are subject to the earlier expiration date. Return travel must originate by midnight on the expiration date of your reward.
Lost or Stolen Certificates
A reward certificate that is lost, stolen or otherwise destroyed will not be replaced or credited to your account.
Open-jaw Travel
Open-jaw travel allows you to fly from your point of origin to one city and then return to your point of origin from another city. Sample itinerary: Newark to London; then Paris to Newark. Or, fly from one city but return to a different city. Sample itinerary: Boston to London; then London to Washington, D.C.
Open-jaw travel does not include transfer between open-jaw cities. Point-of-origin and destination cities must be within the same reward series. Additional travel restrictions apply, so check with the Reward Desk when you request your reward.
Airline Re-routing
Reward travel is approved only for the specific airline(s) named on the reward ticket. In the event of a flight irregularity, you will be re-routed on the first available flight of the airline(s) designated by your reward ticket.
Tax Liability
All tax liability associated with the OnePass program and with the receipt and use of OnePass rewards, including income tax, is the responsibility of the user. OnePass upgrade rewards to BusinessFirst, First Class or Business Class departing to the United Kingdom are subject to additional departure taxes.
Applicable Fees and Surcharges
OnePass members are responsible for all applicable federal inspection fees, terminal facility fees, customs and immigration fees, infant tickets (when required for children under two years of age) and any other fees or surcharges applicable to reward travel. Fees and surcharges must be paid by credit card only at the time a OnePass reward is ticketed. Also, some international departure fees are due at the airport, payable in cash only.
Selling Rewards
OnePass rewards and mileage in your OnePass account may not be sold, bartered, traded, exchanged or purchased, except under programs fully authorized and/or sponsored by Continental Airlines. Rewards and mileage obtained in violation of this rule will be void and confiscated. A violation of this rule may result in the termination of your OnePass membership and forfeiture of all mileage in your account.
If a person other than the OnePass member or the person named on the reward attempts to use the reward, it will be void and travel will be denied. Altered rewards are also void.
Rewards deemed void will be confiscated and the mileage forfeited by the member. At the discretion of OnePass, actions which result in a void reward may lead to membership termination and forfeiture of all mileage.
Forfeiture of Mileage
If you redeem your roundtrip reward for a one-way ticket, the unused portion of the reward will be forfeited. Also, if you elect to travel in a lower class of service than specified by your reward, you will not receive a mileage adjustment.
Compliance with Reward Rules
If you fail to comply with the OnePass reward rules, at Continental Airlines' sole discretion, you may be accommodated on a different flight than originally selected, seated in a lower class of service, denied ticketing or boarding, or be subject to other action as provided under the "Mileage or Reward Abuse" provision herein.
Travel on Continental Airlines or OnePass airline partners is subject to the filed tariffs and standard contract of carriage of the specific carrier.
