Kosher Meals, KSML

Kosher meals are available for customers who require kosher preparation of foods due to religious laws. Kosher food is prepared in such a way that dairy and meat are separate. A period of time is usually observed between dairy and meat meals. Pareve foods may be served and eaten with both milk and meat. Seafood without scales or fins (shrimp, crab, etc.) are not considered kosher. Only animals with cloven hooves that chew their cud can be eaten, therefore, animals such as pigs and rabbits are non-kosher. Kosher laws require that animals are slaughtered and prepared following a strict traditional religious ritual. Processed foods, such as those prepared for flights must be prepared under a Rabbi's supervision. Kosher meals prepared for Continental either by kosher caterers or may incorporate fresh fruit or sealed items such as bagels that meet kosher laws.
