Continental In-Flight Entertainment
Continental is pleased to offer a variety of entertainment programming on our fleet. Our enhanced in-flight entertainment systems allow you the option of using your own headset onboard. Continental also provides headsets for use. Depending on your aircraft's entertainment system, you can either purchase a headset or one may be provided to you at no charge. You can keep and reuse your headset on your next Continental flight.
Headsets can be purchased for $3 or one Continental Currency coupon on board Continental aircraft.
The charge is applicable on flights:
- within the contiguous United States
- to/ from Alaska, Hawaii and Canada
- to/ from select destinations in Mexico, the Caribbean and the mid-Pacific.
Continental will continue to offer free headsets on select international flights.
For customers seated in First Class on domestic flights and in Economy Class on all flights, the headset features a standard one-pin connector with a two-pin removable adapter. These can be used on any Continental aircraft equipped with in-flight entertainment.
Informational videos produced by Continental are equipped with open captions. While closed captioning is not currently available on the entertainment portion of our programming, we are working with our vendors to develop a product that will be more accessible to our customers with hearing loss.
Programming Philosophy
Our goal is to provide quality inflight entertainment appealing to a general audience and representing our diverse and global customer base.
The movie editing standards used by most global airlines are provided by the film studios. While the majority of our programming is edited for content, R-rated programming (including airline edited versions) will not be shown on aircraft with overhead screens. We appreciate your business, and we hope you enjoy your flight.
