Accessibility of Continental Connection Aircraft

Movable Aisle Armrests

Economy Class seats with movable armrests are identified by aircraft type, tail number and location. The fleet type is indicated in our reservation system. Actual aircraft number assignment is usually available 48 to 24 hours in advance of scheduled departure.

Fleet Type Aircraft Number Location of Movable Armrests
Bombardier Q400 All All aisle seats except rows 1 & 2
Bombardier Q200 All All aisle seats except row 1
Saab S-340 All All seats

Armrest release mechanisms vary by type of seats used on the aircraft. Release mechanisms are discretely hidden as a safety precaution to prevent unwanted release during takeoff and landing.

Cargo Bins

Powered equipment will not be disassembled, including leaving the batteries attached, whenever the cart and/or wheelchair will fit upright through the aircraft bin door. If the size of the aircraft bin door prohibits this, airport personnel may ask you for instructions on how to disassemble your equipment. The following chart shows the maximum bin door width of our current fleet.

Fleet Type Bin Door Width (in.)
Bombardier Q400 50
Bombardier Q200 50
Saab S-340 53

Lavatories

Continental Connection aircraft do not have any wheelchair accessible lavatories. On the Bombardier Q400, there is one onboard wheelchair.
