Terms and Conditions

1. Offer valid July 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009. To qualify for the reward you must open a new Chase Checking^SM account with a $100 minimum opening deposit of new money (money not currently held by Chase or its affiliates). Also, to qualify for the first 10,000 bonus miles you must make 5 debit card purchases with any Chase debit card linked or used to access the new account or initiate a repeating direct deposit such as payroll, Social Security or other government benefits. The 5 debit card purchases or first direct deposit must be completed within 60 days of account opening to earn the bonus miles. Initial 10,000 bonus miles will be deposited in your OnePass® account 6-10 weeks after the 5 debit card purchases or initial direct deposit has posted to the new account. Limit one personal checking account-related reward per customer, per calendar year. Limit one 10,000 bonus miles per checking account. Offer not available on account conversions or in combination with any other offer. Customers are still eligible for the first 10,000 miles even if they do not get the Chase Continental Airlines Preferred Debit Card. Account is subject to approval. Chase Checking^SM is available only at Chase branded branches, excluding branches in California.
2. The second 15,000 bonus miles will be credited to the cardholder's OnePass account after the first qualifying purchase is made with your Chase Continental Airlines Preferred Debit Card or Chase Continental Airlines Debit Card. Please allow 6-10 weeks after your first qualifying purchase for bonus miles to post to your OnePass account. The first qualifying purchase must be made within the first 60 days in order to qualify for the bonus miles.
3. Qualifying purchases include all debit card purchases made without using a PIN. Such "non-PIN" purchases include purchases you sign for, Internet purchases, phone or mail-order purchases, small dollar purchases that do not require a signature, bill payments (where billers process the transaction as a credit card), and contactless purchases (purchases made by holding your blink-enabled card to a secure reader). Cash transactions do not qualify. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions for complete information on qualifying purchases.
4. The Chase Continental Airlines Preferred Debit Card has an annual fee of $65 per checking account. If you choose the lower fee option of $25 with the Chase Continental Airlines Debit Card, you earn 1 mile for every $2 in qualifying purchases. Customers choosing the lower fee option will still receive the second 15,000 bonus miles after the first qualifying purchase.
5. The applicable checked baggage fee will be automatically waived when the cardmember's OnePass account number is listed in his or her reservation. If the fee is not automatically waived, the cardmember should present his or her active Chase Continental Airlines Preferred Debit Card to an agent. Fees will be waived at the time of travel; no refunds or credits will be issued after travel has been completed. Continental customers traveling with the cardmember will also get their applicable baggage fees waived if they are listed in the same reservation and check in at the same time. This exemption will not apply to group reservations with 10 or more customers. Checked bags must meet weight and size restrictions or will be subject to additional fees. New Chase Continental Airlines Preferred Debit cardholders will be eligible for the checked baggage fee waiver benefit after they receive their card.
6. Twice the Miles at ShopOnePass. OnePass miles are subject to the terms and conditions of the OnePass program. OnePass miles awarded on price of items sold excluding applicable taxes and shipping charges. OnePass miles will not be credited for cancelled orders or items returned to merchant. OnePass miles will not be credited when using Google Checkout. Please allow 6 to 8 weeks from date product is shipped for OnePass miles to be posted to your OnePass account. Offer not valid in conjunction with any other merchant offers or promotions unless specifically permitted by merchant. ShopOnePass reserves the right to change merchants without notice. Mileage offer is only valid for purchases made through continental.com and is not valid towards purchases on the regular merchant sites unless you submit your OnePass number to the merchant through continental.com. In order to receive mileage credit for your online purchases with this partner you must use a Web browser set up to accept cookies. If your Web browser is set up to block cookies, you will not be credited with miles. View your Web browser’s help system for information on accepting cookies. 7. Chase Checking^SM has no monthly service fee when you have a direct deposit or five or more debit card purchases post to your account each statement period.
