Founded in 1929, Hawaiian Airlines (www.hawaiianair.com) today serves 15 domestic and three international destinations in the Pacific region. They operate 147 daily jet flights among/to and from the islands of Hawaii. Hawaiian operates a fleet a new Boeing 717 aircraft on inter-island flights and Boeing 767 aircraft on flights to the U.S. mainland.

Hawaiian offers Continental customers connecting codeshare service between Honolulu and the Hawaiian islands of Kauai, Molokai, Lanai, Maui, and the big island of Hawaii. All inter-island flights depart from the Inter-Island Terminal at the Honolulu International Airport. The Wiki-Wiki bus provides easy transportation between Continental and Hawaiian flights.

Hawaiian offers its famous Mea Ho'okipa service (meaning "I am host"), on all inter-island flights. Mea Ho'okipa emphasizes the warmth, friendliness, and caring nature of the employees of Hawaiian. Fresh Kona coffee, native juices such as Guava, and local branded snacks such as Maui Chips are offered on the quick interisland flights, most lasting 25 minutes or less.
