Effective for travel on or after March 1, 2009, Elite mileage bonuses will decrease for Platinum members from 125% to 100% and for Silver members from 50% to 25% for tickets purchased on or after Nov. 15, 2008. Gold members will continue to earn 100% mileage bonuses.
Elite members earn mileage bonuses in addition to their actual flight miles every time they fly Continental or select OnePass airline partners*. These miles are credited towards their OnePass account balance and can be used toward reward travel. The bonus amount is based on the Elite status level and is calculated against the actual flight miles of each segment flown.
The following Elite mileage bonuses are for flights operated by Continental, Continental Express, Continental Connection and Continental Micronesia:
- 125% mileage bonus for Platinum Elite members
- 100% mileage bonus for Gold Elite members
- 50% mileage bonus for Silver Elite members
Elite mileage bonuses are deposited automatically in the Elite member's account along with the actual flight mileage earned. Elite bonus miles are applied toward the Elite member's total OnePass account mileage balance only and are not valid toward Elite status qualification.
