      For the purpose of this program, a supplier is considered diverse if they are a U.S. privately held company that is 51% owned and operated by an individual who falls into one or more of the following categories:

      • Woman
      • Hispanic American
      • African American
      • Asian American
      • Native American / Alaskan Native
      • Veteran
      • Hubzone
      • Small Disadvantaged Business

      To ensure accuracy of certification status, Continental recognizes diverse suppliers with certifications through national and regional 3rd party advocacy organizations. The accepted certifying bodies are located in the Certifying Diversity Councils section on the next page.
