      Continental Community Council

The Continental Community Council is the charitable giving arm of Continental's U.S. Automotive operations. All U.S. locations are represented within the council and empowered, with proper approval, to use corporate funds to invest in their local communities. With our focused giving approach, centered on education initiatives, STEM programs and poverty relief, each location builds relationships with the organizations that impact their communities.

      Local Tornado Relief

Our ContiTech St. Mary’s plant raised almost $5,500 for employees affected by the tornadoes that hit Celina, Ohio in June. Less than one week after disaster struck,  the team came together to create and host a successful fundraiser luncheon for all employees to support their colleagues in need.

      Hurricane Harvey Relief

In the wake of Hurricane Harvey, which caused significant damage to Houston and the Texas Gulf Coast in August 2017, Continental contributed $50,000 in disaster relief funds. The donations - $25,000 from Continental and an additional company match of $25,000 for employee contributions – supported relief efforts coordinated through the American Red Cross. In addition to the company’s monetary pledge, Continental’s local facilities supported relief efforts in Houston and other areas in southern Texas by organizing a collection of basic necessities such as bottled water, toiletries, first-aid kits, cleaning supplies and more to distribute to the affected areas.
