Electrification Challenge

Reducing the use of fossil fuels is key to our future – and electrification is highly important to sustainable, modern and forward-thinking mobility. Do your part and work with a team to develop new ideas!

Use a remote-controlled model electric car to test out different driving strategies with your teammates. Your challenge: Work intuitively to find a strategy you can use to travel the greatest distance on a test track. Collect technical data – either by modifying the vehicle controller or exchanging components – to optimize your electric drive.

This challenge is just the thing for anyone in electro-technology, computer sciences, mechatronics, physics and similar fields who has a passion for electric mobility.

Before the mission starts, each team member will take on the role of components in an electric drive – such as the electric motor, battery manager or vehicle or bus controller. This will help you figure out the messages and functions that need to be developed to work together as a complete electric drive. Once you’re equipped with this knowledge, you’ll be ready for your challenge!
