      Group Finance Graduate Program at a glance

      As a Group Finance Graduate Program, a wide variety of challenging opportunities is waiting for you, which provide you a fast track into the Finance business at Continental. During your 24-months traineeship, you will work on global and local project assignments in different Finance functions and locations, which will enhance your Finance knowledge and soft skills. Assignments on group, business area and plant level will help you to get a broad insight into the Finance organization from different perspectives. You will get to know core elements of work within our different Finance departments and will as well notice the departments’ commitment for the development of young and talented employees. You will experience how our departments cooperate and collaborate together throughout the Continental group and you will have the chance to contribute to current value adding finance tasks and projects – guided by experienced colleagues, experts and mentors.

      What can you expect?

      Step 1: Welcome Days

      The program starts with Welcome Days at the Continental headquarters in Hanover, Germany. There you will get to know the other Finance Graduates and major stakeholders of the organization. You will get a first insight into Continental’s strategy and its values, get to know your first assignment departments and participate in initial trainings as well as in a teambuilding event.

      Step 2: First Module – Group

      Your first assignment will be in one of the different Group Finance departments, e.g. Accounting, Business Consulting, Controlling or Finance & Treasury. You will be equipped with the necessary knowledge to contribute to the departments’ daily business and projects and learn about their major business processes. This assignment will be enhanced by soft skill and advanced business trainings.

      Step 3: Second Module – Business Area

      Your next two assignments will be designed depending on your preferences, taking into account business needs at the respective locations. During the business area rotation you will take over controlling tasks on central business area or business unit level or you will work in one of the functional Controlling departments.

      Step 4: Third Module – International

      The international module will offer you the opportunity to work abroad on Controlling or Accounting functions at plant level or at one of Continental’s international Shared Service Centers.

      Step 5: Fourth Module – Focus

      The major target of your fourth module is to deepen your insight and knowledge into your future working field either by already working on your upcoming placement or by making a cross step into a related Finance department to broaden your practical experience.

      Step 6: Final Placement

      Now it’s your turn – show what you have learned and make the most of your career! 


      What could your future look like?

      As a member of the Continental Group Finance Graduate Program, you will be employed full-time with an unlimited contract. After the two-year program you will continue your career at the final placement you choose. This position varies depending on the business needs as well as on your individual strengths. Your cross-divisional and international experience as well as your Continental network will enable you to develop your individual professional career further within our organization in the future.

      What do we expect?

      • You are a university graduate with excellent achievements during your Master or MBA degree in Finance and Controlling, Economics or similar
      • Preferably, you gained practical and international experience (e.g. through internships or during your studies)
      • You have excellent English language skills written and spoken (German language skills beneficial)
      • You have proven planning and organizing skills
      • You show eagerness to develop and take the initiative
      • You are passionate about working in a multicultural environment
      • You are flexible and able to adapt to different working environments and locations
