      Group Purchasing Graduate Program at a glance

      The goal of the Group Purchasing Graduate Program is to provide an opportunity to contribute to the work in the central organization as well as to gain an insight into different Continental business areas, business units and departments. The program offers a wide variety of tasks and challenging opportunities which integrate you into the fundamental purchasing process and reach from operative to strategic as well as from local to corporate purchasing. The program provides a valuable insight into this field of work and a great preparation for a future career at Continental.

      What can you expect?

      Depending on your experience and background the program takes 19-24 months and is split in four assignments each 3 - 6 months long. In the first assignment you will be located in your home country, followed by an assignment at Group Purchasing in Germany. You will benefit from a different plant or regional area experience and in the last assignment project you will focus on the work that you will do in your final placement. At least one of the four assignments will be abroad and you will get a chance to experience a cross-divisional department. You will be part of creating smart solutions for future technologies. Depending of your individual strengths you will take on responsibilities at an early stage. The program offers you excellent opportunities to grow fast and start your professional career at Continental.

      • Purchasing manager in one of our production locations
      • Regional category manager in a regional function
      • Global strategic lead buyer for raw materials or indirect materials in a central function
      What do we expect?

      • Excellent university grades in Economics or Engineering
      • First practical experience in internships or thesis writing in strategic or operational processes
      • International experience - living, study or internship abroad
      • Willingness to learn and improve new systems, e.g. MS Office, SAP
      • Proven ability to work analytically and independently
      • Strong communication skills
      • High mobility during and after the program
