g women. The WEPs are a joint initiative by UN Women and UN Global Compact, which work to promote and empower women in companies, and which comprise seven principles.
World Business Council for Sustainable Development
The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) is a pioneer and catalyst on the pathway to sustainable development. The aim of this alliance is to promote the role of ecological efficiency, innovation, and corporate social responsibility. Continental is involved in WBCSD as part of the Tire Industry Project.
Sustainable Natural Rubber Initiative
Continental is a member of the platform for sustainable natural rubber (GPSNR), which has developed an initiative that has members from all levels of the natural rubber value creation chain. The aim of the initiative is to obtain natural rubber using methods proven to be sustainable.
