Continental is going on the offensive with respect to the central theme of the sustainability of humankind, and has set itself some ambitious goals in this respect. 

March 07, 2024 Continental achieved its financial targets in the past fiscal year, taking the DAX company a step closer to its mid-term targets as it continues to defy the challenging conditions. The geopolitical situation, additional inflation-related costs of around €1.4 billion, exchange-rate effects and high costs for special freight all had a considerable impact on performance. Continental also presented its strategy for increasing value creation and achieving its mid-term targets at its Capital Market Day in December 2023.

Continental is well positioned for the future - as the mobility and material technology group for safe, smart and sustainable solutions.

Today's advanced driver assistance systems provide the basis for the automated driving of the future. Continental is using its full innovative power to drive forward this trend and developing intelligent technologies that take over more and more driving functions – as long as the driver wants them to. Technologies around clean and sustainable mobility are being enhanced further across the globe, with continued focus on electric and hybrid electric vehicles. More than one billion vehicles worldwide are responsible for not only increased traffic volumes, but also a rising number of accidents. To reduce the number of road deaths and amount of material damage as much as possible, Continental is always working on new systems that improve vehicle safety in all vehicle classes. We provide connectivity within the vehicle itself as well as with other vehicles and the outside environment. New possibilities are also emerging from the development of intelligent transport systems.
