      Brandon Lane Appointed New Plant Manager of Continental New Braunfels

      • Lane brings more than 30 years of experience and leadership to the position
      • The New Braunfels plant, established in 2022, has created more than 400 jobs to date

      New Braunfels, Texas, April 11, 2024 – Continental today announced that Brandon Lane has taken over as the Plant Manager of its New Braunfels, Texas facility. The New Braunfels plant, which opened in September 2022, is an integral part of Continental’s global network, specializing in the manufacturing of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) products. In his new role, Lane will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the New Braunfels plant operations, including production, quality control, and employee and community relations. 

      “Brandon brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success in manufacturing to this role,” said Ibro Muharemovic, head of the Autonomous Mobility Business Area, Continental North America. “His deep understanding and extensive leadership within Continental will be instrumental in driving the continued success of our New Braunfels plant.” 

      Lane joined Continental in 1993 and has held various leadership roles throughout the organization, including in industrial engineering and production management. Most recently, Lane was the Plant Manager and Head of Location in Frankfurt, Germany where he was responsible for the operation of the plant, production targets, and maintaining a safe working environment. He brings more than 30 years of Continental experience to the Longhorn state.

      The New Braunfels automotive manufacturing location is the company’s first greenfield plant to be built in the U.S. dedicated to Continental’s Autonomous Mobility business area. The facility is an investment of more than $110 million (about €100 million) in the future of mobility and the community, creating more than 400 well-paying jobs with excellent benefits since its opening.
