Home Plant Phase I – Onboarding & Shopfloor experience
Within the first 6 months, you will become familiar with the main functions of the Manufacturing & Engineering organization and the daily operations at one of our tire plants located in your home region, leading up to our high-quality tire products.
Home Plant Phase II - First Projects and International Exposure
Over the following second 6 months, you will gain a deeper understanding of your roles and responsibilities. Starting this phase, you will participate in the Trainee Meeting Week at the central location in Hanover, Germany where you will meet your peers and together receive your first global group assignments.
Central Phase – Group Projects, Field Trips & Activities
During the third phase of your graduate program, you will spend 6 out of 9 months in Hanover alongside other eXplore Trainees from various locations worldwide. This experience will allow you to familiarize yourself with how the global organization is collaboration effectively, further improve your project management skills and build up your own network. Besides this, you will experience teambuilding activities, trips to other Continental locations together with your trainee peers, contribute to strategic and global projects as well as gain insights into our marketing & sales organization to get to know the full value chain of our Tires.
This program prepares you for a position at your local tire plant in the areas of Production, Plant Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Product Industrialization, Plant Operations and others. You can take on responsibility at an early stage and gain a broad range of professional experiences. Your future offers:

- An above-average university degree in a technology-related subject, e.g. engineering (chemical, electrical or mechanical), manufacturing, science or logistics
- Fluent in English and the language of your home plant
- Relevant internships
- International experience (e.g. internships or studies abroad)
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills, a dedicated team player who enjoys working in a multicultural environment
- An open-minded and ambitious personality, high level of commitment
- International mobility and willingness to work abroad
