June 16, 2026 Renault’s new Twingo is now fitted with original equipment tires from Continental as standard worldwide. The latest generation of the all-electric compact car is rolling off the production line equipped exclusively with the 18-inch Continental EcoContact 7. The 18-inch tire has earned top ratings on the EU tire label for energy efficiency and rolling noise.

June 15, 2026 Continental has developed a highly efficient tire for French automotive manufacturer Renault Group that significantly increases the range of its electric vehicles. As part of a strategic partnership, a tire was created for Renault Group’s innovation teams with up to 35% lower rolling resistance than required for the EU tire label’s top A rating. For a vehicle with a battery range of 500 kilometers, this translates to approximately 30 additional kilometers of range per charge – roughly the distance from Paris to Versailles.

May 08, 2026 Continental was once again named “Tire Manufacturer of the Year” at this year’s Tire Technology Awards for Innovation and Excellence. The independent jury cited the company’s introduction of new tire technologies, innovative measuring methods and continuous improvements to its production processes as setting new industry benchmarks. Continental also received the “Environmental Achievement of the Year – Manufacturing” award for the work it has done to reduce water withdrawal per metric ton of product in its tire production.

May 06, 2026 Continental started 2026 with a good first quarter. The Tires and ContiTech group sectors both increased their adjusted EBIT margins compared with the same quarter of last year, despite burdens from tariffs and exchange-rate effects. Adjusted free cash flow was also up year-on-year. By contrast, the economic environment and weak global markets hampered sales growth. Even against the backdrop of current geopolitical developments, the DAX-listed company has confirmed its full-year outlook. For 2026, Continental still expects consolidated sales of around €17.3 billion to €18.9 billion and an adjusted EBIT margin of around 11.0 to 12.5 percent.
