Spin-off Automotive | Continental

Due to the increasingly dynamic markets in the automotive industry, the Continental Executive Board has decided, following a strategic review, to on spin off the Automotive group sector. Following the approval of the Supervisory Board in March 2025, the spin-off was presented for resolution to the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting of Continental AG on April 25, 2025. The spin-off of Automotive as a European company (Societas Europaea, SE) was completed with the listing on the Frankfurt stock exchange September 18, 2025. The independent company is operating under the new brand AUMOVIO, which was launched end of April 2025. The company is led by Philipp von Hirschheydt (50), who has headed the group sector as a member of Continental’s Executive Board since May 2023.

Our strategy aims to increase our value creation. This involves systematically analyzing how we can best position our group sectors for success.
