On this basis, adjusted EBIT (EBIT before amortizationof intangible assets from PPA, changes in the scope of consolidation andspecial effects) is expected to amount to at least EUR1.2 billion (PY:EUR248.8 million). In the first half of 2010, special effects resultedprimarily from the closure of the truck tire production in Hanover/Stoeckenwhich amounted to EUR35 million. In 2009, special effects in the first sixmonths amounted to EUR146.9 million.Based upon these preliminary results for the first half year 2010, thecompany believes that an increase of approximately 15% in consolidatedsales to be realistic for 2010 (PY: EUR20,095.7 million). The adjusted EBITmargin for 2010 should be between 8.0% and 8.5% (PY: 5.8%). Based oncurrent expectations, however, a burden of approximately EUR250 million isanticipated in the second half of 2010 alone resulting from the rawmaterial costs which have been increasing since the beginning of the year(primarily natural rubber). The Continental Corporation's financial report for the first six months isexpected to be published on July 29, 2010.02.07.2010 Ad hoc announcement, Financial News and Media Release distributed by DGAP.Media archive at and Language: EnglishCompany: Continental AG Vahrenwalder Straße 9 30165 Hannover DeutschlandPhone: +49 (0)511 938-1068Fax: +49 (0)511 938-1080E-mail: ir@conti.deInternet: www.conti.deISIN: DE0005439004WKN: 543900Indices: MDAXListed: Regulierter Markt in Frankfurt (Prime Standard), Hannover, Hamburg, Stuttgart; Freiverkehr in Berlin, München, Düsseldorf; Terminbörse EUREX; Foreign Exchange(s) Luxembourg, SIX End of News DGAP News-Service ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
