      What Can You Expect?

The program lasts up to 18 months and is split into two phases.

      Phase 1 – IT Overview

You will spend the first 10–12 months at one of our tire plants at your home location in order to gain an in-depth insight into all production-related processes. You will also get to know the existing IT systems, their interfaces, and the relevant data flows. You will also work on special factory projects and have the opportunity to work in Tire Building for a few weeks in order to familiarize yourself with the specific requirements of manufacturing IT.

      Phase 2 – Central Placement

After the initial phase, you will join the graduate pool in Hanover, where you will get to know the central functions and work with them. For six months, you will work in a self-organized Manufacturing IT Graduate Pool together with members of the eXplore Graduate Programs R&D, M&E, Supply Chain Management, and Controlling. In this phase, you will acquire in-depth knowledge of the central system architecture, work on strategic and global projects, and build up a network of central colleagues and graduates.

After the graduate pool phase, you will return to your factory duties and start your career with an initial position in Manufacturing, IE, Engineering, QM, or IT.

In all phases, you will work on challenging projects and tasks and take part in various training programs and events. Thanks to a combination of projects, training programs, and international experience, you will be excellently qualified and optimally prepared for your career at Continental.
