      Continental Huayu Brake Systems (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. Starts Operation

      • Continental and Huayu Automotive Systems Co., Ltd. jointly invested more than CNY 600 million in the new Chongqing Plant
      • The new Joint Venture, Continental Huayu Brake Systems (Chongqing) Co., Ltd., will better serve the transformation and upgrading of automotive industry in West China

      Chongqing, China, May 18, 2017. Continental Huayu Brake Systems (Chongqing) Co., Ltd., a new Joint Venture of Continental and Huayu Automotive Systems Co., Ltd. ("HASCO"), starts operation today. The new plant is located in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area, covered an area of over 80,000 square meters, with more than 600 million RMB investment. Continental and HASCO hold equal 50 percent share. The new plant is designed to manufacture Brake Parts including Brake Calipers, Vacuum Boosters and Electric Parking Brake Systems.

      At the opening ceremony, Mr. Zhu Hui, General Manager of Continental Huayu Brake Systems (Chongqing) Co., Ltd., expressed his appreciation of the close cooperation, supports and trusts from all of our partners. He hopes that with the professional technology expertise and advanced production experience of Continental, and market information and customer resource of HASCO, the new plant will further enhance the production capacity of Hydraulic Brake Products, and provide best-quality products and localized solutions to the auto manufacturers in China, becoming a solid backing for the development of these manufacturers in West China.

      Since 1994, Continental and HASCO started deep cooperation in the field of Hydraulic Brake System business with the setup of one joint venture Shanghai Automotive Brake Systems Co., Ltd in 1994 and the other Continental Brake Systems (Shanghai) Co., Ltd in 2010, aiming to further improve driving safety by developing and manufacturing leading safety hydraulic brake technologies and products in China.
